Year 7 literacy and numeracy catch up funding is awarded to schools for those students not reaching the national average scaled score of 100 in either reading or maths at Key Stage 2. It is provided to all state funded schools with a Year 7 cohort. Manor Academy is determined to support students to ensure that core skills are developed. This is to embed success in English and Maths, but also so that students can be successful across a diverse and rich range of subjects with a core literacy and numeracy base.

The funding will be allocated as stated above and the progress of students is reviewed at each data collection.

There were no national assessment taken by students at kS2 (SATs) for the end of the academic year 2019/20. For the academic year 2020/21 students that require additional support will be identified using reading ages and CAT4 testing.
